First of all, I just want to say that I get it. You probably don't like being bombarded with requests for donations online and if you do then you're probably into torture. This isn't begging, however, this is a plea to the large population of people out there who have always wanted to be a writer, have become a writer, or have written professionally in the past, to donate to this campaign because it will allow aspiring writers to go from dreaming to being.
Second of all, there isn't much motivation in volunteer writing. People are looking for that magic word, 'pay.' And I don't blame them. Who doesn't want to get paid for their time and effort? Again, probably people who are into torture and like to be bombarded with requests for donations online.
Here's the idea: There's 400,000,000 or so people in the United States and let's say 50,000,000 are aspiring writers. The goal for Writers Helping Writers is to raise 10k from writers to support the employment of other writers. We don't have to stop at 10k and we don't have to stop at employing a certain number of writers. The success depends on the amount of monetary contribution as well as readership and straight determination to succeed.
Any donation helps and it only takes a few minutes. Your contribution will do the world of writing so much good. Thank you for reading.
